What’s On in Perth This March 2026 (Hand-Picked Events)

Here we go for another month of carefully curated event selection to fill your evenings and weekends this March in Perth. Full agenda with dates at the end =)

French Film Festival Selection

Let’s start with the French film festival – maybe because I am french I’ll admit – but as usual I am not just throwing a link to the prog, I am hand picking a selection for you.

Let’s start with our “chouchou” Pierre Niney in Guru. A film that reflects on coach influencers and their dark side. If you like psychological thrillers, where ambition slides into manipulation, this one is for you.

For a good classic French comedy featuring a bunch of beloved actors, you can go for Class Reunion. As the title suggests, we embark on 90s nostalgia through flashbacks as a group organises a get-together with their former classmates.

In The Rookie Guide, French humourist Hakim Jemili travels to Marrakech on what is supposed to be an undercover Routard guide mission (the French Lonely Planet). A light-hearted comedy about how a trip turns completely out of control, for our greatest delight.

Sculpture by the Sea

On the artsy side, Sculpture by the Sea is back with 70 large-scale 3D pieces along Cottesloe Beach for over two weeks. The event brings major Australian artists competing for several awards, including the People’s Choice, so you actually get a say in your favourite artwork. The best part? It’s completely free. Just rock up, stroll the coast, maybe grab a coffee, and pretend you understand contemporary art (or genuinely do).

Last Day of Perth Festival

Have you been to East Perth Power Station this Feb? If not, the 1st of March is the day. This is the last evening of the free riverside program, followed by a main stage performance from R&B and violin artist Sudan Archives. Industrial building with visual art, Swan River backdrop, live music at sunset, pic nic… perfect summer vibe. Tickets for the main stage here, but access to the Power Station ground and pre-concert is free.

Acqua Forte Parade

Moving a little north now with Acqua Forte Parade at Hillarys Boat Harbour. I’ll admit, the name confused me at first (it is a kids’ event?), but looking closer, this show comes from renowned French theatre company Ilotopie, known for spectacular water performances and large-scale visual installations. This event runs for a few evenings at 7:30pm as part of Joondalup festival. Expect something immersive and slightly surreal. Added bonus: it’s free.

Pink Floyd immersive experience

Into Pink Floyd? The Perth Planetarium is hosting a visual show celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Dark Side of the Moon. An immersive experience with visuals created by NSC Creative in collaboration with graphic designer Aubrey Powell, the man behind many iconic rock album covers, including Pink Floyd. All projected on the full-dome screen. From the teaser, this promises a slightly trippy, space-meets-psychedelic tribute. Head for tickets here.

Brazilian Beach Carnaval

Another music event this March is Brazilian Beach Carnaval in Scarborough. You can expect a proper festive party, with joyful Brazilian energy against the perfect summer backdrop that is Scarborough Beach. The event is free running from 1pm till 9pm. Special mention to the Sambozzy drum parade, plus all the dance, music and food you’d hope for.

Australian Hip Hop legend Bliss n Eso

If you’re an expat, you may not have heard of Bliss n Eso yet. If I had to pick just one song to convince you to go to this concert, it would be Eye of the Storm… and okay, also Happy in My Hoody. Originally scheduled for 1 March at The Ice Cream Factory, the show has been postponed to Friday 20 March 2026, with tickets still available here.
